Original Products & Designs - All our products and designs are made in house. Others have tried to copy them, but the quality level of imitators and importers is really not the same. Some of our designs have not changed for decades. We also embrace new technology, designs, ideas and material that can improve our products and our customer satisfaction. We were the first to feature the DuraCord rope in all of our rope furniture models; a rope as soft as cotton but as durable as polyester.

Comfort - We personally test our products to make sure the ergonomic is adequate for all our customers. The DuraCord textile, available in our colored rope, our hammock and furniture pads and our cushioned swing also improves the comfort level of our products.

We do it all by hand to insure that your purchase is something that we can be proud of. The quality and workmanship of all of our products set the industry standard for hammocks and outdoor furniture. You’ll love your Nags Head Hammock because we love what we do.

We started in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and we’re still located here today. While other companies are outsourcing to India and China, we believe in keeping our production local. We love NC, and we’re here to stay. With five stores located along the OBX, you’re never too far from relaxation.

Our Rope is Top Quality:

We use only the highest quality white polyester and DuraCord rope available. We know our ropes are the best, because we have them made that way! These ropes are made in the USA to our indusry setting standards. We use a three-ply, eight millimeter first quality polyester or DuraCord rope for strength, durability and unmatched color and comfort. Our DuraCord ropes are solution-dyed, which means the color is actually part of the fiber, not dyed afterwards. Solution-dying means DuraCord won't fade, stain or mildew, all while maintaining the plush softness of a top quality cotton rope.

We Use Good Wood:

We use white oak exclusively... another industry first. Some hardwoods and "mystery woods" are just not as hard and durable. When we were deciding which wood to use for products, we took our cue from local history. Many of the original sailing vessels that first saw these shores were constructed of white oak... that's good enough for us!

We're not bragging here... it's a fact! Thousands of visitors to the outer banks have discovered that our stores are the perfect vactation from their vacations. We pay so much attention to detail because we know the little stuff is what makes a good product GREAT. Things like hand dipping our wood pieces in varnish, buffing smooth and then doing it all again until all 3 coats are perfect, truely set our products apart from the rest.

It's and old tradition that's all but lost. We're one of the only compaines that still puts the traditional curve in their spreader bars for added comfort. Why? A hammock with a straight spreader bar will never feel as good, but it can be made a good bit cheaper. A bent spreader bar creates a shape that makes the hammock feel like it was made just for you. The curve offers stability, comfort and beauty, and we'll never change that!
